She Kan Build Program

Creating Career Pathways for Women into the Construction industry

Sheforce is proud to partner with Kangan Institute and launched its inaugural She Kan Build construction starter program in March 2023. This four-week course equip women and non-binary with the skills they need to take their first step into the construction industry.

Our program of learning engage women and
non-binary, foster their talents and support them to transition into a new career.

What is She Kan Build?

 

Aligning with the Victorian Government’s Women in Construction Strategy, She Kan Build will give women the know-how to become worksite-ready.

 

Greater representation of women in construction will benefit everyone in the industry.

 
Students will learn how to: 
  • Apply OHS requirements, policies and procedures in the construction industry (White Card)

  • Prepare to work safely in the construction industry

  • Carry out measurements and calculations

  • Interpret and apply basic plans and drawings

  • Identify and handle carpentry tools and equipment
